Job Overview:
We’re looking for a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team. If you have experience in automotive paint systems, a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a fast-paced production setting, we want to hear from you. We’re also open to candidates with strong powder coating experience who are ready to transition their skills into automotive finishing.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Apply paint finishes to vehicles or vehicle components using wet paint and spray equipment.
- Perform undercoating and custom paint applications as required.
- Prepare surfaces for painting including masking, sanding, and priming.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of paint booth and work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
- Perform touch-ups, repairs, and finish detailing.
- Ensure all painted surfaces meet quality and durability standards.
- Monitor and maintain paint systems and tools for optimal performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of automotive painting experience or similar role in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of automotive paint systems, mixing, and application techniques.
- Experience with wet paint applications, undercoating, and/or custom finishes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven shop.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred (Not Required):
- Experience in powder coating.
- Knowledge of paint booth and system maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a paint booth environment with appropriate PPE.
