Job Full Description

Job Summary:
Express Employment is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a local manufacturer in Anderson, IN. This position focuses on routine and preventative maintenance of production machinery, mechanical systems, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on engines, motors, drives, pneumatic tools, feeders, and conveyor systems

  • Calibrate feeders and monitor equipment performance

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions

  • Dismantle and repair defective equipment using hoists, cranes, hand, and power tools

  • Set up and operate tools to fabricate or repair parts, jigs, and fixtures

  • Read and follow diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals

  • Install or repair electrical, piping, or mechanical systems as needed

  • Operate welding equipment and cutting torches when necessary

  • Use precision measuring instruments to diagnose machine issues

  • Document repairs and maintenance activities thoroughly

  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies

  • Collaborate with production to minimize equipment downtime

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience

  • Ability to work independently and stay productive without supervision

  • Basic electrical knowledge (480V AC, 24VDC, 110VAC, switchgear)

  • PLC experience including touchscreen controls and parameter changes

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
