Landfill Cleanup Laborer
Shift: 1st 7a-4p
Pay: $17/hr
Where: South side of New Castle
Evaluation Hire
Duties:
- Collect and dispose of litter and debris throughout the landfill grounds, including roadways, fences, and public access areas
- Operate hand tools and equipment such as rakes, shovels, and leaf blowers to assist in cleanup efforts
- Monitor for and remove windblown debris on a regular schedule
- Assist with general site maintenance such as fence repairs, gate upkeep, and signage cleaning
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and walking over uneven terrain
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic; (Local to New Castle & surrounding areas preferred)
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, general labor, or environmental services is a plus
