Apartment Maintenance
Shelbyville company is looking to add an apartment maintenance member to their team!
The ideal candidate is reliable, willing to get their hands dirty, and mechanically inclined.
The Apartment Maintenance team member is responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality. This position plays a key role in preparing apartments for new residents and maintaining the overall appearance and operation of the community.

- Monday – Friday 8 am – 5pm

Job Duties:
- Communicate professionally and effectively with residents, team members, and vendors.
- Perform apartment turnover tasks including cleaning, painting, carpet installation, and general repairs.
- Maintain property grounds by mowing, weed eating, and performing seasonal landscaping tasks.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of common areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete tasks within established timelines.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
- Follow company policies and procedures for safety and resident interaction.
- Represent the property in a courteous and professional manner.
- Clean and refurbish apartments after move-outs.
- Perform minor construction and repair work as needed.
- Maintain grounds, including mowing, trimming, and snow removal when applicable.
- Assist with painting, flooring installation, and other tasks to make units move-in ready.
- Report potential hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
- Comply with all safety standards and wear appropriate protective equipment.
Requirements:
- General maintenance experience required.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to interact professionally with residents and team members.
- General labor or construction experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
