Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Skid Builder to join our team in the skid building department. This company specializes in producing high-quality metal sheets for the RV and boat industries. As a Skid Builder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the finished products are securely and efficiently prepared for shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Build skids to size according to specifications.
- Use a saw table to cut wood to the required dimensions.
- Assemble skids using cut wood, placing it on a table or horse stand at knee height.
- Utilize a nail gun and hammer to construct skids.
- Ensure all skids are built to quality standards and ready for product placement.
Requirements:
- Experience in woodworking or construction preferred.
- Ability to operate a saw table and other woodworking tools.
- Proficiency in using a nail gun and hammer.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver wood and skids.
