Press Operator 1/25

Location: Bristol, IN

1^st Shift Monday to Friday

 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the press to run production parts.
• Perform die change-outs and setups according to part requirements.
• Troubleshoot minor press/die issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow lockout/tagout and all safety policies.

 

Expected Results

• Consistently high-quality parts with minimal scrap or rework.
• Safe machine operation.

 

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment.

 

Equipment Used

• 60 ton Press
• Dies and die setup tools
• Precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Hoists/lifts for die handling
• Basic hand and power tools

 

Skills Required

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Understanding of press operation and die setup.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and lockout/tagout.
• Use of precision measuring tools for inspection.

 

Experience Required

• 1–2 years of press operation (preferred).
• Experience with die setups/changeovers.
• Prior production/manufacturing environment experience.
• Bonus: Water jet operation experience.
