Warehouse Associate / Backup CDL-A Driver

Metro Hardwoods is hiring a reliable team member who wants steady work in the warehouse — but can step into a truck when needed. This is not a full-time driving job. Most of your day will be hands-on warehouse work, with occasional local deliveries.

If you’ve got a CDL but don’t want to live on the road anymore, this is the sweet spot.

What You’ll Do

Warehouse (about 80% of your time)

  • Pull and stage customer orders

  • Load and unload trucks

  • Operate forklift and pallet jacks

  • Organize and stock materials

  • Verify shipping paperwork

  • Keep the warehouse clean and safe

Driving (about 20% of your time)

  • Make local deliveries when needed

  • Secure loads and complete inspections

  • Handle delivery paperwork

  • Follow DOT and safety regulations

Schedule

  • Day shift

  • Hours vary depending on deliveries (7a - 4p)

  • Local routes only

  • Home nightly

Pay

$23/hr plus depending on experience

Requirements

  • Valid CDL-A license

  • Clean driving record

  • Comfortable with physical work lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Forklift or warehouse experience preferred

  • Willing to work indoors and outdoors
