Job Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Hopper Sorter for an industrial facility in Huntington, Indiana. This position involves sorting and processing scrap metal and recyclable materials in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, hardworking, and comfortable performing physically demanding work.
Responsibilities

Sort scrap metal and recyclable materials according to established guidelines.

Inspect materials and identify items that need to be separated or removed.

Work around industrial equipment and moving materials while following all safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively as part of a team.

Perform physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all workplace safety policies.
Qualifications

Ability to perform physical labor in an industrial environment.

Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, as required.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

Previous manufacturing, recycling, scrap yard, or general labor experience preferred.
