Yard Spotter
Location: Albion, IN
Pay: 25
Schedule: 3rd shift 10p - 6a, flexible with overtime and occasional weekends
Overview
We are seeking a reliable Yard Spotter to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers within the yard to support warehouse and shipping operations. This position is essential to keeping freight moving smoothly and ensuring loading and unloading deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities

Move trailers between docks, staging areas, and yard parking zones.

Safely position and secure trailers at loading docks.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks.

Coordinate trailer movements with warehouse personnel and drivers.

Maintain accurate logs of trailer positions and yard activities.

Follow all company safety procedures and report any concerns immediately.
Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL required.

At least 3 years of safe driving experience preferred (yard spotting or flatbed experience a plus).

Clean driving record.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Strong communication and attention to detail.

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing in/out of trucks.

Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.

Required use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, boots, hearing protection).
