Job Full Description
Express Employment has partnered with a local Story City, IA company that is seeking experienced Truss Assemblers to join their team! The main responsibility for this position will be to secure and support trusses during construction.
This is a great long-term, full-time position starting at $19.60/hr! The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of prior construction experience.
Environment:
- This is a 1st shift schedule, Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:30pm
- Casual clothes are preferred, work boots are REQUIRED.
- Candidate must be comfortable working in various weather conditions!
Duties:
- Assembling pre-cut wood into roof trusses
- Following blueprints/diagrams
- Using hand tools
- Gathering materials or operating a saw to cut pieces
Skills/Experience Needed:
- Must be willing to stand for long periods of time
- Must have prior assembly, hand tools, and construction experience
- Forklift experience is preferred (must be willing to learn/train)
