Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals of Ames, IA has partnered with a growing company located in Roland, IA who is currently seeking an individual with prior experience with Machine Maintenance!
The main responsibility in this role is ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
This is a long-term, full-time position starting at $20/hr, hourly wage is dependent on experience!
Environment:
- This is a 1st shift schedule, Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm
- Candidate must be comfortable working in a smaller production facility and collaborating with various departments
Duties:
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills/Experience Needed:
- Prior machine maintenance experience.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Electrical, HVAC, Hydraulic and Pneumatic knowledge preferred.
