Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a local Ames, IA company that is seeking an experienced Title Clerk to join their team! The main responsibility of this associate will be to prepare and submit documents required to obtain vehicle titles, registrations, and license plates.
This is a full-time, evaluation to hire opportunity with a pay rate starting at $20/hr, dependent on experience. The ideal candidate will have prior administrative and customer service experience.
Environment:
- Candidate must be comfortable working in a smaller office environment and collaborating with coworkers!
- 1st shift schedule, Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm (Rotate every 3rd Saturday)
- Attire will include business casual clothes and closed toed shoes
Duties:
- Process new, used, wholesale, and trade-in title paperwork
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with state DMV/DOR regulations
- Track titles until received; follow up with lenders, buyers, and sellers as needed
- Review sales contracts, purchase agreements, payoff documents, and odometer statements for accuracy
- Maintain organized files for titles, registrations, and related documents
Skills/Experience Needed:
- Customer Service experience is required
- Computer knowledge and data-entry skills
- Familiarity with DMV and state titling regulations
- Attention to detail
