Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Forklift Operator in Edgerton, KS!
We are seeking a highly experienced and physically capable Sit-Down Forklift Operator for a dynamic and fast-paced warehouse environment in Edgerton, KS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely handling and moving high-value and oversized products while also supporting light general labor tasks. Pay: $19.50 per hour
Work Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Summary:
The Sit-Down Forklift Operator will be supporting the handling of large, high-value vehicles and equipment. This role requires a seasoned forklift operator who is comfortable with physically demanding tasks and can work in tight spaces. Candidates must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to use hand tools when needed.
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

Safely operate sit-down forklifts to move and place materials and products.

Assist with breaking down metal racking and using hand tools as needed.

Unstrap and secure products in tight or confined areas.

Follow safety guidelines for handling oversized and high-value inventory.

Perform other general warehouse duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Extensive experience operating sit-down forklifts.

Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual labor.

Must be reliable and punctual.
-
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and tight spaces.

Experience with racking and hand tools preferred.
Skills Required:

Strong understanding of forklift safety and warehouse best practices.

Attention to detail and ability to handle high-value products with care.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to follow directions and work independently.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be comfortable bending, twisting, and working in confined spaces.

Standing and moving for extended periods is required.

Use of hand tools and manual labor in addition to forklift operation.
Internal and External Interaction:
This position reports directly to the onsite supervisor and will interact with other warehouse staff and team leads to ensure smooth and safe operations.
