Position Title – Grounds Keeper
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Grounds Keeper to join our team. This role is crucial to maintaining the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of an apartment complex. The Grounds Keeper will work primarily outdoors, assisting with general property upkeep and supporting the maintenance team with service tickets and unit turnover preparation.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (eventually shifting to 8:30am – 5:00pm with 1-hour lunch)
Position Summary:
The Grounds Keeper will be responsible for walking the property daily to inspect and clean debris, performing light landscaping tasks (no mowing or weed eating), and assisting maintenance technicians as needed. This role requires someone who is dependable, a self-starter, and comfortable working outdoors 80–90% of the day.
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

Walk the property daily to inspect and clean debris (walking required – no golf carts)

Perform light landscaping and upkeep tasks (no mowing or weed eating)

Assist maintenance technicians with resident service tickets

Help prepare vacated units for new tenants

Support general property upkeep and small repair tasks

Perform frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and standing
Minimum Requirements:
-
1+ years of outdoor/general labor experience
-
Mechanically inclined with ability to use general tools

Strong dependability and willingness to assist with various tasks

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outside for extended periods

Must be a self-starter, dependable, and easy-going with a team-oriented attitude
