Maintenance Mechanic I (Temporary Assignment)
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic I for a temporary assignment supporting a busy manufacturing facility through the end of September. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industrial maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and keeping production equipment operating at peak performance.

Work Conditions: Manufacturing / Industrial Facility
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment to minimize production downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment
- Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems
- Inspect equipment for proper operation and identify potential maintenance concerns
- Operate power tools, grinders, hoists, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments safely
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and repairs
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Follow all company safety policies and preventative maintenance procedures
- Work closely with production personnel to support manufacturing operations
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience
- Experience operating standard power tools, grinders, hoists, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Solid understanding of:
- Pneumatic systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Pumps
- Overhead cranes
- Power transmission components (belts, pulleys, chains)
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Reliable attendance and dependable work history
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on CNC machines is a plus but not required
- Manufacturing or industrial production environment experience
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
