Fitter/Welder – 1st Shift
We are seeking an experienced Fitter/Welder for a full-time manufacturing and fabrication position. This role requires someone who can read blueprints, fit components, and perform large-scale welding while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
Shift: 1st Shift
Position Summary
The Fitter/Welder will use blueprints to fit, position, and weld larger fabricated components. This position requires strong welding skills, blueprint-reading ability, and experience working with large-scale fabrication.
Essential Functions
- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Fit and position components prior to welding
- Perform large-scale welding and fabrication
- Set up and operate welding equipment and programs
- Inspect completed work for proper fit and weld quality
- Maintain productivity and strong attendance
- Follow all established safety and quality procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous Fitter/Welder or fabrication experience
- Strong blueprint-reading skills
- Experience with large-scale welding
- Ability to accurately fit and align components before welding
- Comfortable operating welding and fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Dependable with excellent attendance
