Plastic Injection Machine Operator
Role Purpose
A Plastic Injection Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. The role ensures that production runs smoothly, products meet specifications, and safety standards are upheld
Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Setup
Set up and operate injection molding machines, including hydraulic/electric presses, hot-runner systems, and molds (single- and multi-cavity)
Adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, cycle time, screw RPM) to achieve target output and quality

Quality Control
Monitor production runs for defects (cracks, bubbles, color inconsistencies) and make adjustments to maintain quality
Conduct first-article inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring tools

Maintenance & Safety
Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition
Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE

Documentation
Record production data (volume, downtime, scrap rates, efficiency) and maintain accurate logs or reports

Collaboration
Work with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Required Skills & Abilities

Hands-on experience with plastic molding machines and molds.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
