Express Employment is seeking Qualified Material handler's 1st Shift Monday - Thursday 5am to 330pm
Key Responsibilities
Material handlers support production and distribution processes by moving materials, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies. Common duties include:
- Receiving, unloading, and inspecting materials from trucks or containers, and reporting discrepancies to supervisors
- Moving materials to storage areas or production lines using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
- Maintaining accurate inventory records through regular stock counts, labeling, and database updates
- Preparing materials for shipment by pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products
- Assisting in kitting, allocation, and managing material expiry or condition requirements
- Operating and maintaining material-handling equipment safely, including performing pre-use inspections
- Ensuring the work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Following procedures for handling hazardous materials when applicable, including obtaining necessary certifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or associate degrees may be preferred
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of inventory systems (e.g., SAP) and supply chain management principles
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely
