Yard Worker – Zachary
Evaluation Hire
$15/HR
Monday-Friday 7 am - 4:30 pm, every other Saturday 8 am - 12 pm
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Yard Worker for a local Distribution company in East Baton Rouge Parish.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Yard Worker:

Load and unload lumber, building materials, and other products for customers and delivery trucks

Assist customers with locating and selecting yard items
-
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely (training provided)

Maintain yard cleanliness and organization, including sweeping, stacking, and sorting

Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and damage
-
Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times
-
Support inventory management by tracking materials and notifying staff of low stock
-
Assist with occasional deliveries or pickups as needed
Skills and Experience REQUIRED:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Forklift Experience
- Customer Service oriented
- Strong ability to take initiative
- Must be on time every day
