Hardware Store Clerk – Zachary
Evaluation Hire
$17-20/HR
Monday-Friday 7 am - 4:30 pm, every other Saturday 8 am - 12 pm
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Hardware Store Clerk for a local Distribution company in East Baton Rouge Parish.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Hardware Store Clerk:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner

Provide product information, advice, and recommendations
-
Restock shelves, organize displays, and maintain store cleanliness

Operate cash registers and process sales accurately
-
Receive, unpack, and stock inventory
-
Handle customer returns and exchanges in line with store policies

Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries
-
Stay up to date on product lines, store promotions, and inventory changes
-
Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed
Skills and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
-
Previous retail or hardware experience is a plus, but not required
-
Strong communication and customer service skills
-
Basic math skills and attention to detail
-
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
-
Willingness to learn about hardware, tools, and home improvement products
