Structural Steel Fabricator

Mon-Fri: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Structural Steel Fabricator for a fabrication shop outside of the EBR area. This client is looking for a skilled Structural steel fabricator with verifiable long-term welding experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, prepares, and maintains structural systems composed of various materials
- Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to complete work based on specifications
- Use Stick and FLUX welding on Structural steel components in every position.
- Gathers equipment and materials for the job
- Complies with applicable safety regulations and best practices, including all OSHA regulations
- Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details
- Assists with training of new hires
- Performs other related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION NEEDED:
- Ability to follow work orders.
- Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Minimum 3 years’ experience required.
- Welding certification preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Varying standing and sitting for extended periods of time throughout the day.
- Occasional lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Exposure to varying environments including loud, hot, and smoke-filled areas
