Structural Welder - Port Allen
EVALUATION HIRE
$18/hr+
Day Shift 6-4 Mon - Thurs
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Structural Welder who will be responsible for welding and assembling structural steel components in a fabrication shop environment. Projects include platforms, frames, support structures, and other custom builds for industrial applications.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Structural Welder:

Perform MIG and/or Flux-Core welding to assemble structural components
-
Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
-
Conduct quality inspections on welds and finished products
-
Operate various hand and power tools, cutting torches, and grinders
-
Follow all shop safety protocols and procedures
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols
-
Must pass welding tests (ASME/AWS D1.1 preferred)

Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

Experience with overhead crane operation is a plus
