Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $20/hour
Schedule: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on and mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to support repair and maintenance operations in Jefferson Parish. The ideal candidate will assist in rebuilding small tools and machinery, perform preventive and routine maintenance, and work closely with senior technicians in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Repair and rebuild small tools and machinery using shop manuals and technical guidance

Identify, track, and maintain inventories of spare and repair parts

Perform repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment and systems

Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Follow safety standards and operational procedures

Work under the direction of senior technicians and complete all other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Willingness and ability to learn all skilled trades

Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment

Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
Preferred Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent (required)

Vocational training or formal apprenticeship (preferred)

Experience in electro-mechanical work such as:

Automotive repair

HVAC systems

Appliance repair

Small engine repair
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking

Ability to climb ladders, bend, and maneuver in confined spaces

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
