- Based in Taneytown, Maryland or Hastings, Nebraska with the ability to travel across both sites as required.
We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Implementation Project Manager to support the deployment of SAP across our manufacturing operations. This role will partner closely with the IT Project Manager and functional leads to ensure a smooth transition for our business users — focusing on process readiness, site coordination, and minimizing disruption to day-to-day production and operations.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of project management experience with a focus on business process or manufacturing implementations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and how SAP impacts production, planning, logistics, and inventory.
- Experience supporting SAP rollouts or transformations (S/4HANA preferred).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience managing change management and user readiness in complex environments.
- PMP, Lean, or SAP certification is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the IT PM and serve as the business-side project lead during SAP rollout and site implementation activities.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with both business and IT teams to define requirements, validate solutions, and ensure smooth implementation and adoption.
- Documentation and quality assurance: Maintain a single source of truth for requirements documentation and ensure the implementation is validated and meets business needs.
- Change management: Work closely together with the OCM team to help guide the organization through changes related to new processes, training end-users and troubleshooting issues.
- Together with the assigned Thread business process specialists and SME’s, coordinate current business processes mapping and help ensure alignment with SAP workflows.
- Monitor site readiness and proactively identify risks to operational continuity.
- Support cutover and go-live activities, ensuring minimal impact to manufacturing schedules.
- Gather feedback from site users post-go-live and coordinate issue resolution.
