Job Full Description
We are seeking a Counter Sales Associate for a building materials supplier in Concord, MA. This role is to assist customers with building materials, process orders and quotes, and support daily sales operations in a fast-paced lumber and hardware environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person, over the phone, and by email
- Process customer orders and provide quotes/estimates
- Recommend products based on customer needs
- Contact vendors for pricing and lead times
- Stock products and help maintain displays
- Follow up on customer inquiries and orders
- Support daily store and sales operations
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience required
- Construction or building materials knowledge a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand for most of the workday
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a retail/warehouse environment
Schedule
- Monday–Friday between 6:30 AM–5:00 PM (8-hour shift)
- Flexible scheduling within operating hours
- Must be available to work every other Saturday from 7:30 AM–12:30 PM
The pay range is $20-$25/hr plus monthly commission opportunity.
