Warehouse / Wooden Crate Assembly Summary
Location: Billerica, MA
Pay: $21-$24/hour
Position type: Permanent, Evaluation Hire
Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday (varies depending on workload everyday different)
Responsibilities of the Warehouse /Crate Assembler Associate:
- Assemble/Build Small to Large Wooden Shipping Crates and Cushion Skids
- Measuring, Cutting, Use of Power Hand tools
- Packing the Crates
- Maintain paperwork and production records performing simple mathematical calculations
- Occasionally help assemble crates off site with delivery team
- Assist other departments inside facility
- Heavy Lifting
Qualifications of the Warehouse/Crate Assembler Associate:
- Previous experience in carpentry work required especially experience with hand and power tools and various saws such as table, radial arm saw and chop.
- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility for changing demands
- Crate manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for an extended period
- Ability to climb step ladders (6-8 feet).
- Excellent attendance mandatory
- Ability to follow directions from team leaders: speak and read fluent English
