We are seeking Autobody Technicians to join our growing business as soon as possible in Dorchester, MA.
Hours: TBD
Pay Rate: $25 - $32/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing Damage: Review damage reports, inspect vehicles, and diagnose the extent of repairs needed.
- Body Repairs:Hammer out dents, fill imperfections with body filler, and reshape damaged panels using hand and power tools.
- Structural Repairs:Utilize frame machines, welding equipment, and other tools to repair or replace damaged frames and structural components.
- Surface Preparation and Painting:Sand, prime, and paint repaired areas, ensuring a seamless finish and color match.
- Glass and Trim Replacement:Replace or repair damaged windshields, windows, and exterior trim.
- Quality Control:Inspect completed work for accuracy, functionality, and overall appearance.
- Safety: Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines when using tools, equipment, and chemicals.
- Documentation:Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Communication:Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding repair progress and any necessary changes to the work plan
- Tools and Technology:Proficiently use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools for collision repair.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of auto-body repair techniques, including welding, panel replacement, and refinishing.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose issues and develop effective repair solutions.
