Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Depot Technician to support the configuration, inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, and preparation of electronic equipment at our client's warehouse in Norwood, MA.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure electronic equipment and download approved software templates and configurations.
- Inspect, test, maintain, and repair electronic equipment and components received at the depot.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare equipment for deployment, delivery, installation, or customer use.
- Follow established maintenance procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Safely use hand tools, testing equipment, and other technical equipment.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe depot/warehouse work area.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, labeling, tracking, and staging equipment and parts.
- Work closely with Operations, Support, and Management to meet operational requirements.
- Support inventory management and ensure required parts, equipment, and materials are available.
- Accurately document equipment configurations, inspections, repairs, testing, and other work performed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and depot efficiency.
- Perform other operational and technical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or vocational training preferred.
- Previous experience in electronics, equipment maintenance, repair, warehouse/depot operations, or a related technical environment preferred.
- Basic ability to read and follow technical documentation, work instructions, and procedures.
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic diagnostic/testing equipment.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to document work electronically.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as required.
- Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other appropriate material-handling equipment to move equipment and materials weighing more than 50 lbs.
- Ability to work safely in a depot/warehouse environment and follow applicable safety requirements.
