Job Summary:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and organized 2nd Shift Production Lead Person to oversee and coordinate the operations of our metals cutting, forming, and bending facility in Warren, MI. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of the 2nd shift, maintaining product quality, and ensuring the accountability of production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and Oversight (35%):

· Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of four to six individuals.

· Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

· Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a productive and positive work environment.

  • Production Floor Operations (65%):

· Operate cutting, forming, and bending machines.

· Ensure machinery is running efficiently and safely.

· Maintain high standards of product quality and accountability using manual paperwork and computer systems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

· 2-3 years of operator experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metals cutting, forming, and bending.

· Demonstrated leadership ability with experience supervising or leading a team.

  • Skills:

· Strong aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in using manual paperwork and computer systems for record-keeping and quality control.

· Organizational and time-management skills.

  • Additional Requirements:

· Forklift operation experience.

· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a MUST.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move materials as required (up to 70 lbs).
  • Capability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Working Conditions:

  • The role is full-time with a starting rate of $20.00/hour.
  • Paid holidays are provided.
  • No health insurance is offered with this position.
