Bar Straightener
Job Summary:
Our client in Warren is looking for an experienced Bar Straightener! Load, operate, and unload a bar straightening machine. Responsible for locating proper steel, band the material after straightening, enter pertinent information into the computer and put the material in a location in the yard.
What you’ll be doing as a Bar Straightener
· Locate material in the yard to run based on the schedule and tags on the material.
· Operate Hilo’s to perform essential duties
· Set up Machine straightener
· Adjust machine as required to maintain a straight bar
· Band Bars using pneumatic banding tools and steel banding.
· Fill out production paperwork.
· Enter production into the computer system.
· Move completed material out into the yard for storage
· Maintain a clean work environment
Other Duties:
· Monitor coolant levels in machine and add coolant as required
· Daily Hilo inspection
· Use hand grinder
What you’ll need to succeed as a Bar Straightener
· Fork truck license
· High school or equivalent
· Basic computer skills
· Be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

· $18/hr.
· 3rd shift: 8pm – 6am
· Warren, Michigan
