Tool Room Grinder
Job Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Tool Room Grinder to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible fir building, repairing, and setting up tooling to ensure the production operates smoothly and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing as a Tool Room Grinder
· Operate the surface grinder, measuring work to exact proportions:
· Sharpen high-speed (HS) tooling
· Grind new tooling for the high-speed jobs
· Receive die from the Press Room and work assignments from leader; diagnose issues and perform
· necessary grinding and
· Learn to use micrometers, calipers and other measuring gages
· Learn to operate tool room machinery, including surface grinders, lathes and drill presses
· Learn how to fabricate and maintain tooling inserts
· Learn how to repair high-speed blanking dies, compound dies and progressive dies.
What you’ll need to succeed as a Tool Room Grinder
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Strong communication skills, excellent attendance, and a collaborative team spirit.
· Basic understanding of shop math
· Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., pass a physical exam, and work on elevated press platforms
· Mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn and grow within the role

· $21/ hour
· 3rd shift: 11pm – 7am
