Product Handler
Job Summary:
Our client in Warren is looking to hire Product Handlers on their 1st and 3rd shift. They are seeking a dedicated worker that can adhere to their attendance policy and work overtime hours to complete the job at hand.
What you’ll be doing as a Product Handler
· Visually inspect the parts in the hopper and notify the team lead of any defects or contamination.
· Weigh and count the good parts on the scale as they are being placed into shipping cartons; seal the cartons with the taping machine and put bar-code labels on each carton.
· Place the sealed cartons on the available pallet and wrap the completed pallet.
· Load freight for shipments per bill of landing
· Check-in and out parcels from UPS and prepare for shipment. Write shipping tickets
· Direct the forklift driver to place the wrapped pallet into its proper stock location
· Operate the forklift truck, if qualified, as needed to “feed” the tumbler, packaging lines, storage racks, etc.
· Sort parts, when necessary, with packaging.
· Keep machinery, equipment, and surrounding area in a clean condition
· Learn how to operate the tumbler.
What you’ll need to succeed as a Product Handler
· 1-2 years of forklift experience
· Basic computer skills
· MUST be able to work overtime and weekends
· Experience as a material handler, forklift driver or in shipping and receiving is a plus
Additional information for the Office Clerk
· Pay: $17-$18/hr.
· 1st shift: 7am- 3pm
· 3rd shift: 11pm- 7am
