Job Full Description
Local Madison Heights Machine shop is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for their day shift team. Responsibilities in this role include performing complete layout inspection by measuring diameters, lengths, and heights, compare work pieces to one another to assess and detect manufacturing variations in processes, report quality problems or findings to Quality Manager, maintain records of inspection, and other tasks as assigned.
Location: Madison Heights, MI
Position type: Evaluation Hire, long term, permanent, full time
Pay:$18/hr.
Shift: Day Shift 6a - 4p Monday - Thursday, 6a - Noon on Friday
Qualifications: An ideal candidate will possess the following
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months quality assurance experience in the machining or automotive industries
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and parts drawings
- Basic Math Skills
- Experience utilizing optical comparator preferred but not required
- CMM experience a HUGE plus!
- Experience reading precision measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
