Job Title: Storm Response Dispatcher (Part-Time / On-Call)
Pay: $35/hour
Location: Metro Detroit, MI
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and highly organized Dispatcher to support storm response operations in the Metro Detroit area. This is a part-time, on-call position activated during storm events and emergency situations. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating field teams, ensuring timely response, and maintaining clear communication during high-pressure conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- MUST have strong Excel, Gsheet experience.
- MUST respond to incoming calls and prioritize urgent requests
- Coordinate and dispatch field crews in response to storm-related service calls
- Communicate with technicians, drivers, and leadership in real time
- Monitor job progress, track crew locations, and update statuses
- Maintain accurate logs of dispatch times, arrivals, and job completion
- Ensure all safety protocols and response procedures are followed
- Support rapid decision-making in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Qualifications:
- Previous dispatch, logistics, or operations experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Comfortable using phones, computers, and tracking systems
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, during storm events
Work Schedule:
- Part-time, on-call based on storm activity
- Shifts may include extended hours depending on operational needs
