Job Full Description
Our client, a steel tubing processing center located on the west side of Detroit, is seeking an experienced Skilled CNC Machine Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating HAAS CNC machines, a strong understanding of G-Code, and the ability to edit existing CNC programs to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Job Responsibilities

Set up and operate HAAS CNC machines to process steel tubing according to production specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions.

Read, understand, and edit G-Code and existing CNC machine programs as needed.

Adjust machine settings, tooling, and offsets to maintain product accuracy and quality.

Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products for dimensional accuracy and defects.

Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.

Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic equipment maintenance.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards and minimizing material waste.
Requirements

Previous hands-on experience operating HAAS CNC machines is required.

Must understand G-Code and be able to edit CNC programming.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, offsets, and precision measurements.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work a 12-hour shift and mandatory overtime on Saturdays as needed.
