Read and interpret a variety of blueprints, including hydraulic schematics and assembly diagrams

Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, modify, and reassemble machinery

Fit and lay out mating parts for assemblies and perform layout work such as scribing and spot-punching

Replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment to operational condition

Adjust and fine-tune timing and clearance of control devices to meet specifications

Set up and operate primary and auxiliary equipment for testing; record test results and make observations as required

Conduct routine evaluations of sample materials and modify components as needed for successful test completion

Maintain and support shop machinery and equipment used in the testing and rebuilding process
