The Company:
We have partnered with a local company that has 65 years of experience and investment in coating application services.
Summary:
We are looing for a 1st shift coating technician. High School Diploma or GED. Strong knowledge of forklift operations preferred. minimum of 1 year experience as a coater / mixer trainee or equivalent experience. Machine operating experience required.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and manual and visual dexterity
- Set up and operate a coating machine to apply solutions to continuous sheet materials in order to impart special physical properties to determined specifications
- Load/unload rolls of material onto machine
- Regulate speed at which material is fed through rollers and amount of solution applied to material
- May recommend corrective actions to group leader/supervisor and other coating personnel
- Identify, pack, move (inside the facility) or prepare for disposal of hazardous materials, including solvent laden rags, waste solutions and clean up materials
- Adjust process, within specifications, to ensure uniformity
