Job Description
We are seeking an Injection Molding Machine Operator to set up, operate, and tend to plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality products. This role includes performing in-process quality inspections, completing production paperwork, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and tend to plastic injection molding machines
- Perform in-process quality inspections of molded parts
- Conduct visual inspections for defects
- Use tools such as calipers or gauges to ensure parts meet customer specifications
- Identify, contain, and label defective products or scrap
- Remove finished products from the machine dies
- Perform secondary operations such as trimming excess material or using hand tools to finish the product
- Prepare products for packaging and shipment
- Package and label products accurately according to work orders and company procedures
- Perform routine cleaning of the machine and surrounding work area
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times
- Complete required production paperwork, including production sheets, quality inspection logs, and shift reports
- Follow all company safety policies and use required personal protective equipment
