Express Employment Professionals in Chanhassen is looking for Weekend Press Brake Operators with minimum of 5 years’ experience to work at a company in Winsted. The weekend hours are Friday-Sunday from 6am-6:30pm-work 36 hours get paid 40 hours. This is an amazing opportunity to work in a positive work environment that cares about your well-being! Duties:
- Operate power press, power brake, hydraulic press, or arbor press according to specifications.
- Install, align holding fixtures, dies to machine bed, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
- Plan sequence of operations, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal.
- Set stops on machine bed, change dies, and adjust components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.
- Inspect workpiece for defects.
- Measure workpiece and verifies dimensions and weight, using micrometer, template, straightedge, and scale.
- Select and position flat, block, radius, or special purpose die sets into ram and bed of machine using hoist, crane, measuring instruments and hand tools.
- Hand form, cut, or finish workpiece using tools such as hand sledge and anvil, flaring tool, and gauge.
- Grind out burrs and sharp edges using portable grinder
- Lift, position, and secure workpiece between dies of machine, using crane and lifting.
- Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping for assigned machinery.
- Clock in and out of work orders in Global Shop.
- Perform other related operations as required or directed.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and occasionally crawl into small spaces
