Express Employment Professionals is helping one of their clients in Waconia in their search for a Sr. CAD Designer.  The company is looking for someone who loves turning concepts into real equipment. The Sr. CAD Designer position is paying between $20-35/hr. DOE and the work hours are flexible, but some weekend work might be required. 

 

Sr. CAD Designer responsibilities:

 

• Create parts, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks

• Work with experienced mechanics and technicians to bring designs into reality
• Modify or improve existing equipment and 3D models
• Opportunity to assist with hands-on assembly, prototyping, or troubleshooting (optional but helpful)
• Support process improvements and plant projects
• Possibly run distillation trials on new materials

Qualifications: 

• Successfully work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team.
• At least a couple years’ experience using SolidWorks in a structured environment
• Mechanical aptitude — you think in 3D and understand how parts go together
• Curious, self-driven, and excited to learn
• High character and dependable work ethic
