Job Full Description
Express Employment Eagan is looking for a hands-on and tech-savvy Facility Maintenance to help keep their building running smoothly and safely. In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinate repairs, support a small team, and make sure everything in our facility functions at its best. A big part of this job also includes using computer systems for scheduling, reporting, and tracking maintenance work—so being comfortable with technology is key!
What You’ll Do Lead & Support the Team
- Supervise and guide maintenance and facilities staff, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Provide training on proper maintenance, safety, and equipment use.
- Coordinate with volunteers and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Keep the Building Running Smoothly
- Conduct regular facility walk-throughs and inspections.
- Schedule and track preventive maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
- Coordinate repairs and renovations with staff, vendors, and contractors.
- Make sure all areas—from resident rooms to common spaces—are clean, safe, and functional.
Tech & Computer Work
- Use computer programs to manage maintenance schedules, track work orders, and document completed tasks.
- Communicate updates through email, digital logs, and facility management systems.
- Support with online reporting, vendor coordination, and digital inventory tracking.
Collaborate Across Departments
- Serve as the main contact for facilities-related issues and updates.
- Work closely with the Director of Facilities & Hospitality to set priorities and allocate resources.
- Respond to emergencies or urgent maintenance issues, even after hours when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or operations.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and emergency procedures.
- Strong computer skills and comfort using facility management or maintenance tracking software.
- Experience leading a team in a busy, people-centered environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
