Lead Press Brake – 2nd Shift

Express Employment Professionals is excited to partner with States Manufacturing in Dayton, MN to hire a Press Brake Lead for 2nd Shift! Celebrating over 100 years in business, States Manufacturing just expanded to this second facility as they continue provide dependable electrical and metal solutions across the country.
Job Summary
As a Press Brake Lead, you’ll be working closely with the Production Supervisor and cross-department Leads on 2nd Shift. This role actively contributes to production efforts, leading by example to foster a collaborative, positive work environment. Beyond production activities, you’ll help train employees, coordinate work according to the production schedule, and drive operational efficiency. Press Brake Lead candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication with CNC Press Brake, Laser, or Waterjet.
2nd Shift Schedule
- Monday to Thursday
- 2:15pm-12:45am
Pay
- $37.72/hour
- Weekly paychecks every Friday
- Direct hire

- Brand New Facility in Dayton, MN
- Clean working environment
- Option to wear one earbud on the production floor
Responsibilities and Duties
- Actively contribute to production efforts to meet production schedule
- Collaborate with Production Supervisor and cross-department Leads
- Assist in training employees
- Coach and guide employees to meet performance goals
- Demonstrate empathy, composure, and strong interpersonal awareness with employees and leadership
- Ensure standard procedures and instructions are followed
- Monitor product quality
- Monitor defects, scrap, and lost time
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Enforce use of PPE and OSHA compliance
- Identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions
- Navigate change and help employees stay focused and productive during shifts
- Drive continuous improvement efforts
- Identify opportunities for cost savings
- Promote a culture of accountability and teamwork to meet departmental KPIs
Skills and Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in metal fabrication with CNC Press Brake, Laser, or Waterjet (minimum)
- Knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA standards
- Leadership and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- ISO 9001 or equivalent quality system experience (preferred)
- Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience (preferred)
- High school diploma OR equivalent (required)
- Pre-employment background check (required)
