Job Overview:

Join our team as a Lot Attendant, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the auto auction by managing the organization and movement of vehicles within the lot. The Lot Attendant will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and organized lot, coordinating vehicle logistics, and supporting the overall success of our auctions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Organization:

    • Arrange and organize vehicles within the lot based on auction requirements, ensuring efficient use of space and easy accessibility.
  2. Vehicle Check-In/Check-Out:

    • Facilitate the check-in and check-out process for vehicles, recording accurate information such as VIN numbers, mileage, and condition.
  3. Lot Maintenance:

    • Keep the lot clean and orderly by promptly removing debris, trash, and other materials. Perform regular inspections to identify and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  4. Coordination with Auction Staff:

    • Collaborate with auction coordinators and other staff members to ensure seamless vehicle movement during auctions and timely delivery to designated areas.
  5. Customer Assistance:

    • Assist customers with locating and inspecting vehicles, providing excellent customer service to enhance their experience at the auction.
  6. Vehicle Inspection:

    • Conduct basic visual inspections of vehicles upon arrival, identifying and reporting any damages or discrepancies.
  7. Key Management:

    • Safely manage and organize vehicle keys, ensuring accurate tracking and retrieval during auction processes.
  8. Security Measures:

    • Implement security measures to safeguard vehicles on the lot, including monitoring for unauthorized access and reporting any suspicious activities.
  9. Communication:

    • Communicate effectively with team members, auction coordinators, and customers to ensure a cohesive and efficient lot operation.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a lot attendant or similar role is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive operations and familiarity with vehicle models and makes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects regularly.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
