We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated automotive mechanic to join our dynamic service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, proficiency with automotive diagnostics, and experience working with various vehicle types, including Ford, GM, Volkswagen, Toyota, Nissan, etc. This position offers an engaging environment where technical expertise and customer service excellence are valued equally.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, steering systems, and electrical components.
- Repair and replace brake systems, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, tire services, and wheel balancing.
- Execute oil changes, fluid replacements, and routine maintenance tasks to prolong vehicle lifespan.
- Diagnose complex electrical systems including automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs such as welding, auto body work, and component replacements.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides to ensure precise repairs.
- Service diesel engines and perform specialized repairs on air brake systems where applicable.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using auto estimating software.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and offering maintenance advice.
- Assist in maintaining the workshop’s organization by managing inventory of parts and tools.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair across various vehicle makes and models.
- Dealership experience is highly desirable for familiarity with manufacturer-specific procedures.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics equipment and schematics interpretation.
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, powertrain systems, transmissions, and suspension components.
- Skilled in brake repair, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems including ADAS technology.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto body repair tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended repairs. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards of our automotive service department.
