🔩 Experienced Tool & Die Maker – Precision-Focused Opportunity
Join a team where precision craftsmanship isn’t just appreciated — it’s essential. We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tool & Die Maker to support our in-house tooling operations. This is a hands-on role requiring extensive experience in building, repairing, and maintaining progressive and transfer dies, as well as fine-tuning tooling for optimal performance in a high-output manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate, assemble, fit, and repair progressive, blanking, compound, and transfer dies with high precision

Read and interpret complex blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications

Set up and operate toolroom equipment including manual and CNC mills, grinders, lathes, EDM, and surface grinders

Inspect die components using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)

Diagnose die issues, troubleshoot tooling failures, and recommend or perform corrective actions

Perform die polishing, sharpening, and reconditioning to maintain tight tolerances

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance and part quality

Document modifications, repairs, and maintenance in tooling logs
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of direct experience as a Tool & Die Maker in a production or job shop environment

Deep knowledge of metal stamping dies, materials, heat treating, and tool steels
-
Proficiency in precision machining and hand finishing techniques

Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tooling projects

Solid understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and tolerance interpretation

Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or apprenticeship training strongly preferred
Preferred Experience (Not Required):

CNC programming experience (Fanuc, Mastercam, or similar)

Experience working with transfer dies or automotive tooling
-
Journeyman Tool & Die certification
