Warehouse Associate Job Description - $14.25/hr - $16.25/hr Depending on Client
(Picker/Packer or Pallet Jack Operator – St. Louis County, Arnold, MO, and Jefferson County, MO)
Position Summary
Warehouse Associates support our valued clients within warehouse operations by picking, packing, and preparing orders, or by utilizing electric and manual pallet jacks to move materials. These roles are crucial for accurate order fulfillment, inventory management, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment or customer pickup, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected.
- Operate electric and manual pallet jacks to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse safely.
- Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages as needed.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory; verify order contents and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup, including labeling, scanning, and staging items for shipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Use warehouse technology such as RF scanners or inventory management systems to track orders and inventory.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, including assisting with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general housekeeping.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, order picking/packing, or material handling experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn to operate electric and manual pallet jacks safely.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Reliable, independent transportation is required.
Work Environment
- Positions are available in St. Louis County, Arnold, MO, and Jefferson County, MO.
- Work is performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Overtime may be required during peak seasons.
