Sales Representative – Technical/Industrial Focus
Position Overview
We are seeking a technically savvy Sales Representative to help grow our business in the industrial and material handling equipment space. This is a full-time, B2B sales role that requires the ability to understand and explain technical product information, work cross-functionally with internal teams, and manage customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business in industries such as manufacturing, construction, logistics, and government.
- Support and grow existing accounts by offering technical guidance and product education.
- Work closely with engineering and customer service teams to ensure customer needs are met accurately.
- Explain technical product features, pricing, and service offerings clearly and accurately.
- Advise customers on product compliance, selection, and safety standards.
- Manage leads, follow-ups, quotes, and orders using CRM tools.
- Stay current on product updates, industry regulations, and competitors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience; industrial or technical sales preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to interpret and explain specifications.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and other Office applications.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms; Salesforce is a plus.
- Experience discussing installation, PLC compatibility, and compliance standards with customers.
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Background in government or enterprise accounts is a plus.
- A good listener who can engage clients in meaningful, solution-focused conversations.
