Job Description: Bricker – Our Valued Client, located in Arnold, MO

Summary
Our valued client in Arnold, MO, specializes in engineered wear solutions and industrial fabrication services for heavy industries such as coal-fired power, mining, steel, cement, and grain processing. We are seeking a skilled Bricker to join the production team. The Bricker will be primarily responsible for applying refractory brick materials to line equipment and structures that require protection from abrasion, heat, and wear. This role supports the durability and longevity of industrial equipment by ensuring high-quality brick installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces and layout refractory brick for installation according to engineering specifications.

  • Cut, shape, handle, and install refractory materials including bricks, castables, and adhesives.

  • Apply brick linings to equipment such as chutes, hoppers, silos, mixers, conveyors, and pipelines for wear protection.

  • Follow blueprints, drawings, and job instructions to ensure precise placement and fit of refractory materials.

  • Mix and apply refractory mortar or bonding agents for secure brick adhesion.

  • Inspect installed brickwork for quality, alignment, and integrity, making adjustments as necessary.

  • Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and other trades to complete assemblies and repairs.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety rules and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Assist with shop or field installation projects, including travel to customer sites as needed.

  • Document work progress and report any issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in refractory brick installation, masonry, or related industrial building trades a plus but not required.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Skilled in cutting and shaping refractory bricks and materials to precise dimensions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing, bending, lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), and working in confined spaces.

  • Willingness to work in non-climate controlled industrial settings where temperatures may vary with the seasons.

  • Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and materials.

Work Environment

  • Work performed primarily in shop or industrial field settings related to heavy manufacturing and equipment refurbishment.

  • Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels, dust, and varying temperature conditions.

  • Team-oriented environment focusing on safety, quality, and project deadlines.
