Location: South City
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $23 – $30 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Credentialing Specialist to join our client’s administrative team. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of provider and facility credentialing and payer enrollment to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely processing. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CAQH, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer processes, as well as a background in medical billing and terminology.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain credentialing and recredentialing for all FCHC providers and facilities.
  • Manage payer enrollment for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans at both the provider and facility level.
  • Oversee facility credentialing for Family Care Health Centers and hospital affiliations, ensuring all licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, and verifications are current.
  • Maintain and update provider profiles in CAQH and other credentialing systems.
  • Track application statuses and perform proactive follow-up with payers to ensure timely approvals and updates.
  • Communicate with internal departments, providers, and external agencies to resolve enrollment or credentialing issues.
  • Maintain accurate and organized credentialing files in compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
  • Utilize Adobe Sign for digital documentation and MedTrainer (preferred) for compliance tracking and training management.
  • Support audits and reporting related to credentialing and enrollment activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical credentialing and payer enrollment, preferably within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar healthcare organization.
  • Proficiency with CAQH and payer enrollment systems for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
  • Familiarity with facility credentialing requirements and hospital privileging processes.
  • Working knowledge of medical billing procedures and terminology.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Sign and MedTrainer preferred.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
