Set up and operate screw machines (Acme, Davenport, or similar) based on production orders and blueprints.

Install and adjust cutting tools, collets, and attachments for each job.

Monitor production to ensure proper operation, performing quality checks and inspections using measurement instruments.

Troubleshoot issues with machines or tooling, performing minor repairs and maintenance as required.

Keep production and inspection records; meet established efficiency and quality targets.

Follow workplace safety rules, participate in team meetings, and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers to achieve goals.

High school diploma or vocational training in machining or manufacturing.

Direct experience running screw machines in a production environment.

Proficiency in blueprint reading and use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Strong mechanical skills and attention to process details.

Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a team setting.
